Menu

Adding a new menu

  • Open your admin site in your browser
  • Click Menus > Menu Manager on the toolbar menu.
  • Click the Add New Menu button.
  • Complete the fields as required.

Add Menu

  • Title. The name of the item. For a Menu Item, the Title will display in the Menu. For an Article, Section, or Category, the Title may optionally be displayed on the web page. This entry is required. You can open the item for editing by clicking on the Title.
  • Type. The type column in the menu manager will actually be the Unique Name of the menu.
  • Description. The description for the item. Section and Category descriptions for Articles may be shown on web pages, depending on the parameter settings. These descriptions are entered using the same editor that is used for Articles. Note that Section and Category descriptions may not be edited from the front end.

  • Click the Save button after editing. or
  • Select your other preference.
  • Click Cancel to cancel.

Adding a new menu item

Menus and Menu Items provide the overall structure for the site. One Menu normally contains multiple Menu Items. Each Menu Item loads a pre-defined type of page determined by the Menu Item Type.

  • Select the Menu you wish to add an item to from the "Menus" drop-down menu.
  • From the Menu Manager, click the Edit Menu Item(s) icon for the desired Menu.
  • In the Menu Item Manager, click the New toolbar button to open the Menu Item: New screen.
  • Select the appropriate menu item type. For example to insert a single Article select Internal Link > Articles > Article Layout.
  • Complete the Menu Item Details section as required. Each Menu Item Type will have it's own parameters to complete as well as common parameters and Menu Item Details.

  • A list of menu items will be displayed.
  • Select menu item to edit.

  • Click menu item name to open. or
  • Check box and click Edit button on right.
